In adviser reports and updates, it was noted there are still two vacant positions to represent Wards 1 and 5. Campbell reported there is still some activity at Laubach Park on warmer days.
Baillie provided park updates. In Green Acres, the fencing around the pickleball courts has gone up and nets will arrive this spring. The parking lot construction start date is to be determined. Lastly, the shed will be renovated this year as well.
At Devonshire Park, the tennis courts are lined and the pavilion/bathroom renovation is ongoing.

In other business, during courtesy of the floor, resident Karin Holliday reported on the dangerous hunting activity increasing at Franko Park.
Holliday inquired about the status of hunting season signs being posted at Franko Park to alert park goers of current hunting activity.
She described multiple instances of hunters in the park over the past few months that had very close interactions with walkers and athletes on the fields, including bringing in an arrow she found on the walking path. Other events included finding another arrow tip stuck in the tree by the batting cage, hunters setting up a tree stand near the outfield of the baseball field and hunters telling soccer players to stop playing and stand still so they had a clear shot.
Holliday also inquired about adding maps to the hunting signs to keep hunters out of the recreational field area of the park, as well as alerting people of the available hunting areas.
Franko Park has also received a one-star negative rating on Google because of the hunting activity in the park.
The committee advised Holliday to follow up with an email including photos of some of these instances she described so a conversation could be had with the board of commissioners.
The next regular Recreation Advisory Committee meeting is scheduled 7:30 p.m. March 20 at the municipal building.
