Mary S. Matiska, 91, of Salisbury Township, died Feb. 20, 2023, in Gracedale Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Joseph M. Matiska. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Raymond J. and Madeline C. (Rausch) Hottinger.

She was self-employed assisting in accounting, bookkeeping and payroll for independent companies in the Lehigh Valley area for many years, retiring in 2003. She served as treasurer of the Business Professional Women of Emmaus (1978-1990) and Judge of Elections for Salisbury Township 1st Ward for 14 years.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, Allentown, where she sang tenor in the choir.

She is survived by a son, Michael J. and his wife, Jane, of Salisbury Township; granddaughter, Melinda and her husband, Chris Johnston; great-granddaughter, Scarlet Johnston; sister, Joan Rutledge.
