Maria A. Bauer, 80, formerly of Whitehall, died Feb. 27, 2023, at ManorCare, Bethlehem. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles J. Bauer.

Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Antoinette (DeLuca) Camody.

She worked as an administrative partner at Lehigh Valley Hospital for more than 38 years before retiring in 2012.

She is survived by four children, Deborah and husband Richard Bassett, MaryAnn and husband Scott Christman Sr., Charles N. and husband Bill Ajhar and Nicole and husband Thomas Miller Jr.; seven grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

There will be a visitation 8:30-10 a.m. March 3 at the funeral home, 327 Chestnut St., Coplay. A Mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. March 3 at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 3024 S. Ruch St., Whitehall.
