Lehigh Township Rails to Trails will be resuming its town walks.

The group will tour Palmerton to learn the history of and view the structures that are part of the town’s past.

The walk starts 1 p.m. March 11 by the memorial in the borough park at Delaware Avenue and Third Street. The walk is about 2 miles.

Although this event is free, register by calling or texting Nancy at 484-330-9627 or Dean at 610-462-0617. Provide your name, cellphone number and number of people attending. This is needed in case there is a change in plans due to weather, etc.

The Lehigh Township Historical Society will be holding its Finally Spring basket social April 16. Stay tuned for more details.

The St. Nicholas Catholic Church designer purse bingo will be April 30 at the Diamond Fire Hall, Slatington.

Doors open 11:30 a.m., and bingo begins 1 p.m.
