State police investigating Lynn Township house fire

The Pennsylvania State Police Troop M fire marshal is investigating a residential fire that occurred around 7:30 a.m. Feb. 19 at 8307 Creamery Road, Lynn Township.

According to state police, the fire marshal was dispatched to the Creamery Road address for the report of a fire.

There was extensive fire damage to the house.

There were no occupants at home at the time of the fire, however, according to New Tripoli Fire Chief Gary Kuntz Jr., two dogs were rescued from the garage area of the home, and another three were found in another building on the property.

Several fire companies from throughout both Lehigh and Berks counties assisted New Tripoli and Lynnport fire companies in extinguishing the three-alarm fire.

Anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to contact the Troop M Fire Marshal at 610-861-2026 and refer to incident number PA23-217709.

The Community Fire Co. of New Tripoli Facebook page states, “Twenty-four fire team members, along with Engine 1712, Tanker 1721, Attack 1771, and Utility 1791 responded to the reported dwelling fire with entrapment.

“Deputy Chief Nick Gruber arrived on scene first and established incident command.”

According to Lehigh County assessment records, the property is owned by Steven B. Kahlon.
