ID theft seminar March 23

In an effort to reduce the number of identity theft victims, especially among seniors, Rep. Ryan Mackenzie, R-187th, will team up with the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General to host an identity theft seminar March 23 in New Tripoli.

The free event starts 1:30 p.m. in the New Tripoli Fire Station, 7242 Decatur St. Reservations are required.

Dave Shallcross, director of senior protection with the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, will lead the seminar.

Topics to be covered include what to do if one becomes a target of identity theft, tips on how to protect personal information online and in everyday interactions and guidelines on how to spot scams intended to steal one’s identity.
