Are you ready for Read Across America week?

The Salisbury Elementary School PTO is kicking things off with a free screening of “The Lorax” 3-5 p.m. Feb. 25 in the SES auditorium. There will be free popcorn and other snacks and drinks to purchase.

Each day of Read Across America week will have a different dress theme. Monday: bring your favorite stuffed animal and book; Tuesday: mismatch day; Wednesday: crazy hair day; Thursday: wear green and Friday: wear your favorite color.

The next two T-shirt days at SES are Feb. 24 and March 9.

Feb. 24 is also the seventh and eighth grade semiformal 7-9 p.m. at Salisbury Middle School.

SES will have a 1:15 p.m. dismissal March 6-9 for parent/teacher conferences.

Salisbury Township schools will be closed for professional development March 10.

The next operations committee meeting will be 7 p.m. March 1 immediately followed by the finance committee meeting 8 p.m. at the administration building.

Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church will have an indoor yard sale 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 4. Ham and cheese sandwiches and baked goods will be available for purchase.
