Since 2011, RootsTech by FamilySearch has been a family gathering unlike any other. The annual conference, first held in Salt Lake City, Utah, has grown and changed since those early days. From an only in-person experience to a now entirely virtual, worldwide conference, RootsTech has always been a celebration of connection - past, present and future.

This entertaining three-day event draws an audience young and old. RootsTech’s vibrant, energetic atmosphere and design that delivers celebrity speakers and entertainers, helpful classes and fun experiences is still going on in person, as well as virtual again this year.

Anyone can register and join virtually for free. If you want to join RootsTech in person, the fee is $98 for all three days.

It has grown to be the largest family celebration event in the world. This year, the event will run March 2-4 and will feature, among others, multiplatinum recording artist and actress Jordin Sparks.
