Lt. Col. William F. Lohr, 80, of Whitehall, died Feb. 12, 2023, in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Janet (Dalla Piazza) Lohr for 58 years.

Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late William F. Sr. and Helen (Unger) Lohr.

He attended St. Joseph’s University.

He was in the U.S. Air Force as a B-52 electronic warfare officer, flying in the B-58 Hustler. He was a strategic airlift pilot before retiring.

He was a member of Queenship of Mary Church, Northampton.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Delphais and husband Robert; two sons, Matthew and wife Gina and retired U.S. Air Force Col. Christopher Lohr and wife Ellen; five grandchildren, Madison, U.S. Air Force 1st Lt. Brendan, Matthew, Alexander and Ryan; a sister, Priscilla D’Annibale; nieces; and nephews.
