Louise C. Bastian, 80, of Allentown, died Feb. 15, 2023, at Heather Glen Senior Living. She was the wife of Terry F. Bastian, with whom she shared over 62 years of marriage. Born in Orefield, she was the daughter of the late Millard R. and Catherine E. (Kleckner) Schumaker.
She was a member of The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, Emmaus.
Before retiring in the early 2000s, she worked over 20 years as an analyst for Dun & Bradstreet.
She enjoyed volunteering for the Emmaus Food Bank.
Mostly, she will be remembered for her love of travel, gardening, baking special apple pies and her adoration for her grandchildren and her dogs.
She is survived by her husband; daughters, Pamela and her husband, Robert Cantone, of Allentown, Jennifer and her husband, Anthony Leto, of Kutztown; brother, Donald and his wife, Bernadine, of Orefield; grandchildren, Kelsi and her husband, Anthony Orlando, Casey, wife of Cory Bachman, Nicholas Leto, Danielle Leto, Abigail Leto; great-grandson, James Orlando and a great-grandson and great-granddaughter on the way. She was predeceased by a son, Peter T.; brother, Millard R. Jr. and sisters Francine D. Slifer and Leona C. Miller.
