Karl Heinz Porsche, 86, of New Tripoli, formerly of Macungie, died on Feb. 17, 2023, in his home.
He and his wife, Annemarie (Krüger) Porsche, were married 61 years.
Born Nov. 30, 1936, in Saxony, Germany, he was the son of the late Gerhard and Erna (Schiemens) Porsche.
He honorably served in the U.S. Air Force.
A lifelong cargo pilot, he retired from FedEx Airlines in 1997.
Before that, he worked for the Flying Tiger Line and Seaboard World Airlines.
He was a member of ALPA and enjoyed woodworking.
He had a deep love of animals and nature, and cherished time with his grandkids. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by a daughter, Stefanie L. Sikora and her husband, Michael, of New Tripoli; brother Gerhard Porsche and his wife, Maria, of Long Island, N.Y.; sister Erika Heinz of Sarasota, Fla.; twin sister Lilo Reinholz and her husband, Gerhard, of Berlin, Germany; and grandchildren Christian and Sofia.
His memorial service will be 2:30 p.m. Feb. 24 in Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville.
Family and friends may pay their respects 1:30-2:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
