Jennifer L. Paul, 70, of Allentown, died Feb. 14, 2023, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Inpatient Hospice Unit surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of William A. Paul. They would have celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary in April. Born in Covington, Ky. she was a daughter of Donald K. Conley Sr., of Hellertown and the late Helen (Sander) Conley.

She received a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology from Penn State University and worked as an engineer for the former Western Electric, Agere Systems and Lucent Technologies. She later attended St. Luke’s School of Nursing graduating first in her class. This career change was prompted partially by her late mother’s diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease as well as her passion for helping others. She was employed as a registered nurse for Lehigh Valley Hospital, retiring in 2013.

She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Macungie.

She was a member of the Lower Macungie Garden Club, the Cherry Ridge Woodworking Group and enjoyed quilting and sewing. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her granddaughter.

She is survived by her husband; father; son, Michael and his wife, Janelle, of Philadelphia; brother, Donald K. Conley Jr. and his wife, Diane, of Lenhartsville; sister, Cindy and her husband, John Baatz, of Hamburg; granddaughter, Mae; nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held 3 p.m. Feb. 26 at Bethany United Methodist Church, 3801 Brookside Road, Macungie. Friends and family may call 2 to 3 p.m. Feb. 26 in the church. Arrangements were made by the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., Allentown.
