Ethel M. Ringler, 85, of Northampton, died Feb. 15, 2023, at Sacred Heart Senior Living by the Creek.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Harry L. and Laura E. (Kuehner) Snyder.

She was a 1955 Allentown High School graduate. She attended Allentown Hospital School of Nursing. She earned an LPN license from Lehigh County Community College.

She worked at the former Allentown Osteopathic Hospital (St. Luke’s-Allentown) from 1969 to 2002.

She was a lifelong member of Presbyterian Church of Catasauqua where she was a deacon, on the choir and played bells.

She is survived by two daughters, Vanessa Vercusky and Lori Hoppes; a son, Walter Bauman Jr. and wife Patricia; a brother, Donald Snyder; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two nieces.

She was predeceased by her companion, Roger Scheirer.
