Elaine Barbara Bachman Savelli, 89, formerly of Orefield, died Feb. 12, 2023, in Country Meadows, Bethlehem.

She and her husband, Albert J. Savelli, were married 48 years last March. She was also the widow of the late Harold G. Bachman.

Born Dec. 24, 1933, in Weisenberg Township, she was the daughter of the late Henry J.W. and Mildred E. (Shoemaker) Breininger.

She was a member of the United Church of Christ congregation of Ziegels Union Church, Breinigsville.

She will be always remembered as an inspiration with attributes of strength, tenacity, faith, kindness and love.

She was an incredible role model for her family and her cheerful disposition and beautiful smile will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by children Eileen Whildin, Bryan Bachman and his companion, JoAnn Partington, Barbara Benson and her husband, Kenneth Jr.; brother Gerald Breininger and his wife, Anna; grandchildren Michael Whildin and his wife, Megan, Pamela Whildin, Kenneth Benson III, Payton Bachman and his wife, Jamie, Madeline Bachman and her fiancé, Austin Kelly, Samantha Partington, Alex Partington; and great-granddaughters Hadley and Vivian Whildin.

She was predeceased by a son-in-law, Thomas Whildin.

Her memorial service will be 11 a.m. on March 18 at Ziegels Union Church, 9990 Ziegels Church Road, Breinigsville, with the Rev. Dr. Larry D. Pickens officiating.

The family will greet guests at a reception in the lower level of the church, following the service.
