March 2 is National Read Across America Day.

Read Across America is celebrated throughout the country to encourage reading in children’s lives.

Many of the schools will be participating in cool activities honoring Dr. Seuss’ birthday!

Reminder: Moore Elementary School is excited to kick off its biggest fundraiser of the year - the Moore Glow Run. The school’s goal is to raise $12,000 for classroom resources.

Moore Elementary is partnering with Booster to help make this fundraiser more profitable, fun and simple for everyone. Every student will get to be included in the program, regardless of financial participation, and staff invites you to get involved.

Registration opened Feb. 8 at mybooster.com, the program kicked off Feb. 22, and the event will be held March 2.

Moore Elementary will be having a spirit day March 3. Show your pride with Moore Elementary attire or colors!

Northampton Area School District’s elementary students will be ending the second trimester March 6. Report cards will be available on Sapphire community web portal beginning March 15.

Northampton Area High School seniors, if you did not have your pictures taken, you may do so March 9.

Spring pictures are coming next month. All students will be photographed, but purchase is always an option. Dan’s Camera will be taking the photographs of the students.
