St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 122 Union St., is planning to hold its first Lenten lunch of the season 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Feb. 24 in the parish center. There will be a hearty homemade bowl of vegetable soup with a grilled cheese sandwich and beverage, including water, iced tea or coffee.

Since this is new, the church needs a rough estimate for a starting amount to prepare. Everyone is welcome.

The next luncheon will be March 3 and will include a bowl of meatless chili mac with roll, butter and beverage.

Catasauqua American Legion Post 215, 330 Second St., will hold its next all-you-can-eat breakfast 8 a.m.-noon Feb. 26. Come out for all your favorites - scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, French toast, SOS, juice, coffee and tea.

Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, 604 Fourth St., continues holding its free soup Wednesdays initiative 4-6 p.m. This is open to the church family, as well as the entire Catasauqua community.

More than 100 bowls of soup are served each week.
