In a match that was previously postponed by inclement weather, Northwestern Lehigh hosted Catasauqua and dropped a 42-29 decision, finishing the season 4-6 overall and 3-5 in the Colonial League.
The difference in the match was that the Tigers forfeited five matches to give the Rough Riders wins at 107, 114, 121, 133, and 145 pounds. Of the five matches won by Northwestern Lehigh wrestlers, four were decided by falls.
Luke Fugazzotto pinned Trevor Regits at the 1:41 mark of their 160-pound match and Dalton Clymer followed that with a pin at 172. The two fastest pins of the night came at 189 and 215 pounds as Dartanyon DeLillo needed just :48 to pin Augustus Serrano and Buck Miller was awarded a fall at 1:01 of his match against Javier Sobrado in the 215-pound classification. Hunter Greenawalt won a technical fall decision in a 19-2 match at 139 pounds.
Miller’s victory gave Northwestern its first lead of the night at 29-27, but a loss at 285 pounds and forfeits at 107 and 114 put the match in the win column for Catasauqua (9-4 overall, 7-1 Colonial League).
Clymer led the team in victories during the season with a 32-4 mark with 20 pins. Miller finishes at 28-6, with Fugazzotto at 27-6, and Schlofer at 21-13.
