Richard P. Seidel, 92, of New Tripoli, died peacefully Feb. 13, 2023, in his home.

He and his wife, Thelma L. (Kocher) Seidel, were married 71 years.

Born June 20, 1930, in South Whitehall Township, he was the son of the late LeRoy M. and Hattie M. (Muth) Seidel.

A member of the Pennsylvania Farmers Association, he was a lifelong farmer in Lehigh County since 1946.

He also worked at the former Lehigh Valley Dairy and drove truck for the former K&R Loch Milk Hauling for many years.

He was a member of the United Church of Christ congregation of Ziegels Union Church, Breinigsville, and the Ontelaunee Rod and Gun Club, New Tripoli.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by children Cheryl J. Hoffner (John), Lisa A. Pollock (Robert), Jeff P. Seidel (Barbara), all of New Tripoli; sister Susan J. Moll of Kutztown; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a son, Keith R. Seidel, a grandson, David P. Hoffner, great-granddaughter, Brittani M. Hoffner, four sisters and two brothers.

His funeral service will be 11 a.m. Feb. 17 in Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, with the Rev. Dr. Larry D. Pickens officiating.

Family and friends may pay their respects 9:30- 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home.

Interment will follow the service at Ziegels Union Church Cemetery, Breinigsville.
