Church holds valentine dance

The valentine dance at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1335 Old Carriage Road, Kreidersville, was the place to be Feb. 11.

The music was playing, the dance floor was hopping, and the food was continual.

Nicole Bogden, event organizer and church council president, was eager for this day and event. Bogden, like everyone else, was ready to resume life after a year of COVID-19 isolation. Her solution was to energize her church through an assortment of social activities.

Before COVID-19, the church had social dances but stopped live events during the pandemic. Bogden and several other church members organized this family-friendly church dance and social event.

“It’s time for us to get back to living and having fun,” Bogden said. “We now know how to carefully and cautiously live our lives in a world where COVID-19 also lives.”

Approximately 35 people, ranging from ages 3 to 73, were dancing, eating and laughing at the valentine-themed event.

You couldn’t ask for a nicer February night, attendees agreed.
