SHRIMP SPREAD
BY ANITA HIRSCH
Special to The Press
Are you looking forward to Feb. 12 to watch the Philadelphia Eagles play the Kansas City Chiefs?
Will you be having a party?
There will be many football parties that day with sales of wings and beer going through the roof.
What are your favorite snacks to indulge in while cheering on your favorite team?
These parties give us a reason to enjoy our friends as well as good food and a championship game.
These nibbles and noshes or a simple bowl of potato chips or popcorn are the basis for a fun afternoon.
Put out some tortilla chips and salsa or slices of cheese with crackers or raw veggies and a few dips, some spiced nuts and you are on your way to a special occasion.
This recipe, submitted by Marie Kroboth of Whitehall, was printed in the Lehigh Valley Press 2022 Recipes From Our Readers cookbook.
She loves sending in her recipes and had seven of her recipes included in the 2022 booklet.
Marie and her husband, Martin, are looking forward to Sunday’s championship football game.
They met Andy Reid and think highly of him, so they might cheer for the Kansas City Chiefs.
Their grandson, Kevin, played football for Temple University, so they do enjoy the game.
