Twelve Parkland High School seniors were on stage to compete for the title of Mr. Parkland, 2023.
The young men displayed their talents in several events including the swimsuit, talent and formal wear and the escort dance competitions.
Judges for this year’s competition were Shaadi Elias, Mr. Parkland 2004 contestant and owner of the Red Tomato Pizzeria, Schnecksville; Melanie Falcon, WFMZ Channel 69 newscaster; Jared Sussman, Mr. Parkland 2022; Stephanie Wells, morning show host on WAEB-FM, and Kenny Yeboah, Tight End, NY Jets and 2017 Parkland graduate.
Each program contained a QR code allowing members of the audience to vote for a “People’s Choice” contestant.
The winner this year was David Diehl.
When the competitions ended, tabulations were totaled, and the crowd quieted down to hear the results.
Senior class officers announced the winners of Mr. Parkland, 2023: Lucas Lee took third place, Aditya Singhvi, was second, and this year’s Mr. Parkland went to Nate Metcalf.
