Trudie (Kostenbader) Powell, 73, of Coopersburg, died Feb. 2, 2023. She was the wife of the late Edward “Buddy” Powell, who died in 2011. Born in Palmerton and raised in Lehighton, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Grace (Bauer) Kostenbader.

She was employed in data entry at the former Lehigh Structural Steel Company and later worked at Air Products & Chemicals as a program manager.

She was described as witty, strong, intelligent, passionate, caring and a very loving wife, mother, sister and friend and even she described herself as a bit mischievous.

She is survived by a son, Ben Kostenbader; sister, Bonnie Hall; grandchildren, Benjamin, Gabrielle and Izabelle Kostenbader; niece, Michelle Lawrence.

Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Lehigh Valley Hospice.

Services are private. Arrangements were made by the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Allentown.
