Catasauqua: Legion plans polka event
Robbie Lawrence and the Steelworkers Polka Band is coming to Catasauqua American Legion Post 215, 330 Second St., 3-6 p.m. Feb. 11 and March 25.
Tickets may be purchased at the American Legion or by calling 610-264-1606 after 4 p.m.

The Friends of Catasauqua Parks will next meet 6:30 p.m. Feb. 15 at Catasauqua Municipal Complex, 90 Bridge St.
The mission of the group is to improve the quality of life of Catasauqua residents through recreational fundraising events to sustain the parks.
The group is always looking for new volunteers/members. There is no cost or dues to pay to join this group.

Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, 604 Fourth St., continues its free soup Wednesdays initiative 4:30-6 p.m. Feb. 15. This date includes a special Coffee with a Cop event, with Chief Doug Kish. Come out for soup and spend some time with Kish.
This is open to the church family, as well as the entire Catasauqua community. More than 100 bowls of soup are served each week.
Call the church office at 610-264-2641 if you would like to help make or provide supplies for the soup.

Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church is sponsoring an eat-in or takeout meatloaf dinner Feb. 18. The menu includes meatloaf and gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, roll with butter and dessert.
Seatings are 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
Tickets must be reserved. For tickets, call Deb at 610-262-1640. The deadline is Feb. 12.
Cost is by donation. Proceeds will benefit Storm the Heaven Fund, which is a faithful community committed to spreading awareness and funding research for children with a form of brain cancer called diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma.

The Morning Glories of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church will next meet 10 a.m. Feb. 20. Mary Louise Drasduk and Matt Petrukus from Luther Crest Greenwood Addition will be the speakers.
