Local student participates in research program
Reem Shadid, of Bethlehem, an Albright College public policy and administration and criminology major, is participating in Creative Research Experience (ACRE) projects over the winter session. He works one-on-one with Hayley Munir, Ph.D., assistant professor of political science, on “Middle Eastern and Muslim Defendants: The Crossroad between Ethnicity and Religion” outside of regular semester sessions.
Student proposals must be accepted by a faculty review board and are rewarded with college stipends. ACRE recipients share their progress during ACRE events and weekly meetings.
Forst’s research paper presented
Bethlehem’s Megan Forst, a Hofstra University student studying bioengineering, presented a research project at the bi-annual Undergraduate Research Day Dec. 12, 2022. Forst’s Hydrophobic Interaction Chromatography displays represented individual work completed under the guidance of an academic advisor.
Nearly 70 projects were presented to event attendees, including faculty, administration and fellow students.
