State Representative Jeanne McNeil’s satellite office hours (located inside Fountain Hill Borough Hall ) –

Due to staffing changes, Representative McNeill’s satellite office at Fountain Hill Borough Hall will be closed until further notice. They will advise when office hours on Fridays resume. In the meanwhile, please contact their main office at (610) 266-1273.

U.S. Senator Bob Casey

Care worker legislation introduced

U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA), Chairman of the U.S. Senate Special Committee on Aging, and Congresswoman Debbie Dingell (D-MI-6) are introducing legislation to expand access to home and community-based services for older adults, people with disabilities, and injured workers, while increasing pay and improving benefits for the caregivers who provide this life-sustaining care.

The Better Care Better Jobs Act would increase payment rates to promote recruitment and retention of direct care workers, increase wages, and develop and update training opportunities. The legislation would provide support to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to conduct oversight and encourage innovation to benefit direct care workers and care recipients.

State Treasurer Stacy Garrity

National unclaimed property month

State Treasurer Stacy Garrity announced it is National Unclaimed Property Month, that the Pennsylvania Treasury returned more than $211 million in unclaimed property in 2022. Treasury is working to return more than $4 billion in unclaimed property to the people it rightfully belongs to veterans or their families.
