Friendship Circle, a senior group that meets 11:45 a.m. every Monday for lunch and a program at the Jewish Community Center, Allentown, had its Hanukkah Party on Dec. 14, 2022.

This particular day, it was a Hanukkah lunch.

Hanukkah was from Dec. 18, 2022, when the first candle is lit, until Dec. 25, 2022, when the last candle was lit.

The program for this meeting was a talk on identity theft by Heidi Kerstetter, representing First Commonwealth Federal Credit Union.

She gave valuable tips as taxpayers are entering the tax season.

First Commonwealth Federal Credit Union also sponsored the lunch which featured a delicious vegetarian Chinese lunch.

There were also potato pancakes, usually served for Hanukkah with apple sauce and sour cream.

Dessert was a strawberry jam filled doughnut, also a tradition for Hanukkah.

After lunch and the talk, games were played and prizes were won and gift boxes were passed out to those in attendance.

Beth Kushnick sees to it that the programs run smoothly.

Soda, bottled water and boxes of packaged food and bowls of salad line tables for attendees at the Allentown Jewish Community Center Friendship Circle's Hanukkah Party.
