Scott A. Kriner
Scott A. Kriner, 63, of Macungie, died Jan. 26, 2023, in South Mountain Memory Care, Emmaus.
He and his wife, Natalie R. “Lee Ann” (Ryba) Kriner, were married 36 years.
Born Sept. 13, 1959, in Allentown, he was the son of Robert A. Kriner of Allentown and the late LaRue V. (Ritter) Kriner.
He earned a Bachelor’s degree in metallurgical engineering and a Master of Engineering degree, both from Lehigh University.
He owned Green Metal Consulting LLC, Macungie, from 2009-20.
Before that, he was a technical consultant for the Metal Construction Association and the former Bethlehem Steel Corp.
Active in the life of his church, he was a member of Jordan United Church of Christ, South Whitehall, serving two terms as president of the consistory and Festival Committee chairman for 20 years.
He was a hardworking, loyal and caring man with a great sense of humor, who always put his family first.
He has left a positive impact on everyone he had the pleasure of knowing and his dedication to raising funds to fight this terrible disease is beyond admirable.
He was an amazing musician, who enjoyed playing drums, and especially the marimba.
A lifelong fan of The Three Stooges, he always entertained those who had the pleasure of his company with his large repertoire of jokes.
His laughter and contagious smile will be missed be all.
In addition to his loving wife and father, he is survived by sons Matthew S. Kriner (Alyson) of Center Valley, and Andrew J. Kriner (Allyssa) of South Carolina; sister Kelly S. Moneymaker (Steven) of Orefield; grandchildren Owen Matthew, Gavin Scott and Mia LaRue Kriner; nephew Nathaniel S. Moneymaker; and niece Stephanie S. Moneymaker.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Feb. 3 in Jordan United Church of Christ, 1837 Church Road, South Whitehall, with the Rev. Dr. David Charles Smith officiating.
Family and friends may pay their respects 6-8 p.m. Feb. 2 in Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, and from 9:30-10:45 a.m. in the church parlor before the service. Interment will follow the service at Jordan UCC Cemetery.
