Jean H. Laub
Jean H. Laub, 87, of Egypt, Whitehall Township, died Dec. 28, 2022, in Fellowship Manor, Whitehall, where she had been residing.
She was the wife of the late Louis M. Laub.
Born March 23, 1935, in New Tripoli, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Hilda (Werley) Herber.
A graduate of Slatington High School, she worked for the former General Electric as a young mother.
Later, she assisted her late husband in the operation of his business, Louis Laub Roofing for 42 years before retiring in 2013.
She was a faithful member of Egypt Community Church where she taught Sunday School and sang with the choir for many years.
She will be forever remembered as a kind and loving wife, mother and grandmother (Nana).
Known for her bubbly, happy demeanor and friendly smile, she truly brought happiness and joy to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She loved being with friends, especially her card club members and her loving family, and she enjoyed going on walks, working in her yard, vacationing, and cheering on the IronPigs.
Her survivors include a daughter Denise J. Christman and her husband, David, of Whitehall; son Dennis L. Laub and his wife, Robin, of Whitehall; sister Betty Mertz and her husband, John, of Maxatawny; grandchildren Jeremy Christman and his companion, Jessica, Ryan Christman and his wife, Angela, Mackenzie Laub, and Morgan Laub.
She was predeceased by siblings Arlene Schramel, LaRue Weiss, Elaine Niedermeyer, Willard Herber and Donald Herber.
