Charles F. Wieder, 87, of Englewood, Fla., formally of Marmora, N.J., and Allentown, died Jan. 22, 2023.

He will be greatly missed by Renie (Irene Mohr), his wife of 40 years; son Charles Wieder; daughters Jane Player and Gail and Todd Urland; Kristin Patt, and Brad and Katie) Patt; 16 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by parents Earle and Marion (Newcomer) Wieder; brother Earle Wieder; and former wife Virginia Slocum.

A graduate of Muhlenberg College, where he set a record in the pole vault, and Lehigh University, he became director of the student teaching program at East Stroudsburg University.

He enjoyed singing, tennis, golf, gardening, watching football and spending time with his large family at the beach.

He will always be remembered for putting smiles on those around him with his quick wit and times shared being “Elvis” or “Santa.”
