Ann F. Schlaffer

Ann F. Schlaffer, a longtime resident of Whitehall, died peacefully Jan. 24, 2023, with her loving family at her side in St. Luke’s Hospital Allentown.

The widow of Frank J. Schlaffer since 1970, she was born in Egypt, Whitehall Township, to the late Paul and Anna (Dorociak) Fedio.

A graduate of Whitehall High School, she worked at the former Western Electric/AT&T before retiring in 1993.

Her survivors include a daughter Patrice Kelly and her husband, Michael, of Massachusetts; son Gary “Bush” Schlaffer and his wife, Pam (Eroh), of Whitehall; grandchildren Kristin Sommer of Whitehall, Amy McGettigan and her husband, Jeff, of New Jersey, Eric Schlaffer of Philadelphia, Kaitlin Smith and her husband, Brendan, of Massachusetts, and Michael Patrick Kelly of Massachusetts; great-grandchildren Avett, Beckett, Brooks and Ryan Rae; brothers Walter Fedio of Orefield and Paul Fedio and wife, Allison, of Virginia.

She was predeceased by her son Frank J. III and his wife Kathleen M. (Sedmak), and sisters Mary Kumernitsky, Catherine Cocco, Helen Winarchick and brother John Fedio.
