Jean H. Laub, 87, of Egypt, died Dec. 28, 2022, at Fellowship Manor, Whitehall, where she resided. She was the wife of the late Louis M. Laub.

Born in New Tripoli, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Hilda (Werley) Herber.

She was a graduate of Slatington High School.

She worked for the former General Electric. She later assisted her late husband in his business - Louis Laub Roofing - for 42 years until she retired in 2013.

She was a member of Egypt Community Church where she taught Sunday school and sang with the choir for many years.

She is survived by a daughter, Denise J. Christman and her husband David of Whitehall; a son, Dennis L. and his wife Robin of Whitehall; a sister, Betty Mertz and her husband John of Maxatawny; four grandchildren, Jeremy Christman and his companion Jessica, Ryan Christman and his wife Angela, Mackenzie Laub and Morgan Laub.

She was predeceased by five siblings, Arlene Schramel, LaRue Weiss, Elaine Niedermeyer, Willard Herber and Donald Herber.
