The K9 Kop Project is a 501c3 that provides funding for K9 units and educates the public on the needs of K9 Officers. We are looking for a Virtual Administrative Assistant to help for 1-2 hours weekly. Duties include making calls, email correspondence, assembly of packets/letters/marketing materials, maintaining contact lists, etc. Knowledge of Excel & PowerPoint a plus. Minimum age 21. Our food pantry serves over 200 families per month and runs solely on the assistance of volunteers. Northeast Community Center in Bethlehem is seeking volunteers to assist with food distribution on the 2nd Wednesday of every month from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. in our busy food pantry. Drivers are needed to take seniors or disabled clients grocery shopping and/or to medical appointments. Mileage reimbursement available and excess automobile insurance provided by ShareCare Faith in Action. Must submit to a criminal background check and attend an orientation training. The Caring Place Youth Development Center provides programs and activities designed to help young people overcome the pressures and limitations of their environment. Tutors are needed for our after-school program any time between 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. to help students with their homework. (Grades K to 12th) Math, Reading, English, and reports. Stanley Llama and the pigs, goats, horses, ponies, alpacas, and other animals would love to meet you! The Gress Mountain Ranch in Orefield needs volunteers to assist with their daily feeding and watering. Small groups also needed to help with grounds maintenance, composting, and cleaning of stalls. Who doesn’t love to shout BINGO!? The residents at Phoebe Allentown love playing Bingo but some of them need a little extra assistance with finding the correct numbers on their Bingo cards. Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor is searching for enthusiastic volunteers to join a team of volunteers that help manage and perform as our mascot, Dela the Mule, for just a few hours or take on multiple days, during public events and for marketing purposes.
