Model railroads on display at Agri-Plex

By LOU WHEELAND

Special to The Press

It was a busy weekend at the Agri-Plex on Nov. 12 and 13, 2022.

Hundreds of model train vendors and enthusiasts crowded the floor to sell or purchase that perfect model railroad engine, boxcar, caboose or accessory during the weekend.

And, if you were 12 years old or younger, you could try your hand at racing a model train engine at the racetrack set up inside the hall.

Bo McAlister of Washington D.C., shows his Flying Yankee Lionel model train engine made in 1932. He was asking $300 for the engine and $795 for the Union Pacific Deluxe Set.

With a little help from dad Aaron, Joshua Smalley, 3, of Coopersburg, keeps his train on the track at the Allentown Train Meet Nov. 12 and 13, 2022, at the Agri-Plex at the Allentown Fairgrounds. Brother Matthew, Aaron's right, is waiting for his turn.
