A Pennsylvania Dutch version of the New Year will be celebrated at Solomon’s United Church of Christ, 82 S. Church St., Macungie 10:15 a.m. Jan. 29. This service is open to the public and is free.

Mike and Linda Hertzog will welcome in the New Year with PA Dutch music and a New Year’s wish. Dressed in traditional PA Dutch style, with guitar and banjo and bass, the Hertzogs will entertain in a manner that will have worshippers enthusiastically thumping and clapping along.

The Hertzogs have performed around the country, including recently a tour in Montana.
