Gas leak forces Cedar Crest Professional Park evacuations

PRESS PHOTOS BY TIM SINGLES Firefighters from Western and Eastern Salisbury were called to a reported gas leak in the area of 1265 S. Cedar Crest Blvd. around 2 p.m. Jan. 17. Lehigh County 911 reported a contractor hit an underground gas main causing a leak. The leak forced the evacuation of several of the buildings in the professional park for approximately an hour until UGI crews were able to shut off the gas supply. Salisbury fire crews were assisted by several neighboring fire and EMS crews. No injuries were reported.
