Bertha “Berpie” B. Unangst, 77, of Bethlehem died in the home of her daughter, Brenda Rehrig of Bethlehem, on January 17, 2023. Born in Fountain Hill, she was a daughter of the late Delbert and Kathryn (Roth) Antrim. She was the wife of the late Arthur P. Unangst.
She was a Liberty H.S. graduate.
She worked in the housekeeping department of Moravian College for more than 20 years until she retired. She was a bus driver for Lehigh Valley Child Care for five years. She was a home care worker in Northampton and Lehigh counties for the disabled.
She was a member of West Side Moravian Church, Bethlehem.
She is survived by a son, Douglas Unangst of Houston, Texas; a daughter, Brenda Rehrig of Bethlehem; a stepdaughter, Carol and her husband Richard Grube of Stockertown; three siblings, Wilbur Antrim and wife Rebecca of Mount Jewitt, Martha Franges of Northampton and Kay and her husband Timothy Moats of Quakertown; three grandchildren, Douglas Unangst Jr., Cody Rehrig and Drew Rehrig; four step-grandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; nephews; and nieces.
She was predeceased by a stepson, Robert Unangst; a grandson, Christopher Rehrig; and a son-in-law, Ralph E. Rehrig.
