Rose Jean Herrmann, 97, of Allentown, died Jan. 9, 2023, in Luther Crest retirement community.

The wife of the late John A. Herrmann III, she was a dedicated and loving mother.

Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Rudolph and Anna (Blum) Younger.

She was a graduate of the former South Whitehall High School, and a member of the former Faith United Church of Christ.

She volunteered to help children with special needs and loved traveling, cooking and entertaining.

Her survivors include a daughter Carol A. Hutchings and husband, James, Allentown; grandson Jason and wife, Jamie, of Media; great-grandchildren Emma Rose and Milo James; beloved dog, Sophie; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Cathy; son, John IV; and brothers Rudy and Joseph.

Her services will be private.
