Robert B. Lamson

Robert B. “Bob” Lamson, 91, formerly of Schnecksville and Allentown, died Jan. 12, 2023, in Fellowship Community, Whitehall.

He and his wife, Shirley A. (Kurtz) Lamson, were married 65 years.

Born Nov. 28, 1931, in Allentown, he was the son of the late Arthur C. and Eva (Thomas) Lamson.

He owned and operated the former Bob Lamson Beer Steins Inc., Allentown, for many years before retiring.

Before that, he worked at Banko Beverage and the former Bob Wessner Beverages, both in Allentown.

He was a member of Christ’s Church at Lowhill, New Tripoli, and a longtime member of the former Dubbs Memorial United Church of Christ, Allentown. The biggest fan of his grandsons, Casey and Logan, he loved to watch them play sports, rarely ever missing a game.

He loved watching the Philadelphia Eagles and Duke Blue Devils basketball team.

He will be remembered as someone who could always provide comfort and kind words to those in need, and he also could light up a room with his endless humor.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends here, but he is now at peace with his parents and daughter Jodi, in their eternal resting place.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by a daughter, Lisa L. Lamson Schwartz of Orefield; son-in-law Michael J. Scanlan of Allentown; grandsons Logan N. Schwartz and his fiancée, Allison Schafer, and Casey R. Scanlan and his wife, Andrea; and great-grandchildren Rowan J. and Nora C. Scanlan.
