Edith A. Detwiler, 88, of Zionsville, died Jan. 10, 2023, at home from pancreatic cancer with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Carl A. Detwiler, who died Sept. 7, 2008. Born in Green Lane, she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Carrie (Kolb) Brendlinger.
She was a 1952 graduate of East Greenville High School where she played softball, hockey and basketball.
She worked in the family business driving tow trucks and doing office duties.
She had been an active member of the SoLeHi Republican Club at one time being membership secretary.
She was an active member of the Upper Milford Western District Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary having been a trustee and treasurer and helped the fire company with many fundraisers and social activities.
She was a member of Zions Lutheran Church, Old Zionsville and attended Hosensack E.C. Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Debra R. and her husband, Donald S. Young; sons, Carl M. and his wife, Wendy L., Ronald R.; grandchildren, Elizabeth R. Young and her husband, Byron C. Masi; Rebecca M. Ivory and her husband, Joel, Margaret D. Young and her husband, Benjamin Storms, Pamela O’Brien and her husband, Aaron, Carl M. Jr. and his wife, Susannah, Amanda and her companion, Brian Young; 14 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by sons, Gregory and Robert; 11 brothers and sisters.

Services are private. Arrangements were made by the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., Pennsburg.
