Nicholas A. “Nic” Varec, 36, of Emmaus, died Jan. 4, 2023, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg. Born in Allentown, he was the son of Dennis and Marion (Flammer) Varec.

He was a 2004 graduate of Emmaus High School.

He worked for Dirt Work Solutions.

He was a member of Fire Company #1, Emmaus, loved going to the gym and was an avid ice hockey player. He loved life and had a great sense of humor, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his daughter.

He is survived by his parents; daughter, Izabella; brother, Ryan and his wife, Carol; paternal grandmother, Phyllis.

Contributions may be made to the funeral home for his daughter’s education fund.

Funeral services will be held 7 p.m. Jan. 11 in the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Viewing 5 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
