Margaret “Marge” Harakal, 99, of North Catasauqua and recently of Northampton, died Jan. 5, 2023, at Fellowship Community, Whitehall. She was the wife of the late Joseph P. Harakal.
Born in Phillipsburg, N.J., she was a daughter of Stephen and Anna (Lukachovsky) Maczko.
She was a Phillipsburg High School graduate.
She was a comptometer operator for the Dixie Cup company, Easton.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Northampton, where she made pierogies. She was a member of the former church Ladies’ Guild and of the Friendly Fifties group.
She is survived by two sons, David J. and wife Denise and Joseph D. and wife Elsa; two daughters, Sharon Harakal Macko and Jann M. Eline; seven grandchildren, James Eline, Joel Eline, Dawn Farno, Megan Harakal, Gregory Macko, Kimberly Macasevich and Jessica Harakal; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two sons-in-law, Michael M. Macko and James J. Eline; three brothers, John, Joseph and Michael Maczko; and a granddaughter, Jenna Rose Eline.
