Liberty’s girls swim team defeated East Stroudsburg North, 98-46, and Liberty’s boys also defeated North, 102-54, last Wednesday at Liberty.
Top times by the Hurricanes in individual events were clinched by Amelia Paxton (2:22.10) and Corbin Eisenhardt (1:58.57) in the 200 freestyle, Audrey Bloss-Ferry (2:33.62) and Tim Wetmore (2:12.09) in the 200 IM, Natalie Brezinsky (25.69) and Danny Lehr (22.46) in the 50 free, Keller Pooley in diving (220.70), Chelsea Hearn (1:10.43) and Lehr (56.00) in the 100 butterfly, Bloss-Ferry (1:01.40) and Wetmore (52.26) in the 100 free, Leah Onia (6:23.80) and Malcolm Collins (5:06.35) in the 500 free, Lilah McClarin (1:11.70) and Collins (1:00.50) in the 100 backstroke, and Brezinsky (1:09.47) and Wu Wade (1:05.13) in the 100 breaststroke.
McClarin, Brezinsky, Bloss-Ferry, and Hearn opened the meet with a first-place finish in the 200 medley relay in 2:00.71. Umut Akus, Logan Malozi, Andrew Bays, and Juan Gil also took first place in the same event with a time of 2:09.23.
Winners of the 200 free relay were Bloss-Ferry, Sophia O’Hara, Brezinsky, and Hearn with a time of 1:49.87, and Lehr, Eisenhardt, David Gabrielle, and Wetmore with a time of 1:34.50.
Hearn, Paxton, Onia, and O’Hara earned the top time in the 400 free relay with a time of 4:19.17, as did Collins, Wu, Gabrielle, and Lehr with a time of 3:32.56.
The Hurricanes are scheduled to host Southern Lehigh this Thursday.
