Kenneth L. Schaffer, 91, of Allentown, died Dec. 29, 2022.

He and his wife, Rosemarie (Naples) Schaffer, were married 69 years in November 2022.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Leon and Verna (Messinger) Schaffer.

He was a supervisor at Bethlehem Steel for 30 years and a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, Orefield.

He honorably served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Lee Ann Pierce (George) of Allentown; sons, Michael Schaffer (Roberta) of Slatington, Randy Schaffer of Pensacola, Fla., and Mark Schaffer (Paulina) and Allen Schaffer (Tracy), all of Allentown; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
