John W. Stevens, 75, of Northampton, died Jan. 4, 2023, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg campus, Bethlehem.
He and his wife, Perma L. (Green) Stevens, were married 54 years.
Born Sept. 27, 1947, in Moore Township, Northampton County, he was the son of the late John William and Sarah Beatrice (Burnett) Stevens.

He was a crane operator and shop steward at the former Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 35 years.
More recently, he was a truck driver for Bradenburg then Cap Glass.
Devoted to his wife and family, his joy in life came from time spent with them, never missing a sporting event played by one of his grandkids, always looking for ways to help his children.
Known to family and close friends as “Butch,” he was known by all for his joke telling and laughter but more so for being the person in one’s life on whom you could always count.

Stevens of Northampton; daughter Michelle Stevens Easton of Schnecksville; grandchildren Emily and Evan Easton, both of Schnecksville; sister Ginger Silfies (Edward) of Danielsville; sister-in-law Ruby Stevens of Clinton, S.C.; and many nieces and nephews.
