Helen P. Demchuk, 93, of Northampton, died Jan. 7, 2023, in St. Luke’s Hospice House, Bethlehem. She was the wife of the late Eugene Demchuk.
Born in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Boris) Plotsko.
She was a cleaner for Western Electric/AT&T for more than 20 years.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Northampton.
She was a member of the Pioneer Club. She was a baker.
She is survived by two daughters, Deborah A. Keppel and Patricia Cowitch and husband Leonard; a son, Eugene; four grandchildren, Leonard and wife Angela, Leah and husband Matthew, Christopher and wife Kasia and Nathaniel; six great-grandchildren, Alekszandria, Jacob, Isabella, Natalya, Karsyn and Ashton; nieces; and nephews.
She was predeceased by eight siblings, Mary, Anna, John, Rose, Michael, Harry, Charlie and Julie; and a son, Eugene Gregory.
Family and friends may call 8:45-9:45 a.m. Jan. 12 at the funeral home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. There will be a Divine Liturgy service 10:30 a.m. Jan. 12 at the church, 1343 Newport Ave., Northampton, 18067.
Contributions may be made to the church or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
