Elizabeth M. Bastian, 79, of Allentown, died Jan. 5, 2023.

She and her husband, Robert E. Bastian, shared more than 56 years of marriage.

Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Elizabeth (Farris) Salabsky.

She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Orefield.

After graduating from Central Catholic High School, she attended Sacred Heart School of Nursing and continued to work at Sacred Heart Hospital for many years as a registered nurse.

She enjoyed traveling, fishing and boating in her earlier years, playing bingo, trips to the casino and beach trips.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son Robert B. and his wife, Alissa, of Northampton; daughter Jean B., wife of Dan Hoover, of Chambersburg; grandchildren Brett, Andrew, Maggie and Danny; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her twin brother, Bernard, and her brother Joseph; and sisters Jean Dokoupil and Bernardine Nastasee.
