Dorothy E. Kennedy, 95, of Nazareth, and formerly of Walnutport, died Jan. 4, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Hecktown Oaks, Easton. She was the wife of the late Francis J. Kennedy.

Born in Weaversville, she was a daughter of the late Harold J. and Beatrice E. (Pearson) Lutz.

She was a nurse’s aide for Cedarbrook County Home, Allentown, for 20 years until she retired in 1988.

She was a lifelong member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Howertown, where she was co-president of the fellowship class and was a former Sunday school teacher.

She was a Cub Scout den mother and a Girl Scout leader for a troop in Kreidersville. She was a member of the Northampton AARP Chapter 3915. She was a member and past secretary of the Keenagers group at St. John’s UCC, Laurys Station

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Rae and her husband David Danner of Stockertown and Cheryl Ann Kennedy of Nazareth; a brother, Carlton Lutz and wife Dawn of Florida; a son-in-law, Blaine Souerwine of Georgia; two sisters-in-law, Elaine Lutz of Northampton and Judy Lutz of Texas; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Donna Lee Souerwine; and two brothers, Ronald and Harold Lutz.
