Touchstone Building Bridges will offer an after-school program at Zephyr Elementary School. Touchstone uses theater and creative drama to facilitate cultural competency, self-awareness and communication with students.
By the end of the program, students will have created, with guidance from the Touchstone teaching artists, an original performance to share with classmates, teachers, counselors and family.
Student impact throughout this program includes more effective verbal and nonverbal communication skills, increased self-control, improved critical thinking skills, enriched problem-solving and decision-making skills, increased self-esteem and a stronger sense of group/community.
Registration will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
The Stand Out program is offered as a free program with a professional theater company. It will be improv writing, acting, games and more.
The first program will be 3:45-4:45 p.m. Wednesdays, Feb. 8-March 22. A sharing event will be held 5 p.m. March 22.
For more information, email Mrs. Beck at beckm@whitehallcoplay.org. You can visit the Zephyr website and follow the link to BUZZ newsletter to register.

For early dismissals, times will vary. Afternoon Lehigh Career and Technical Institute will be canceled.
For two-hour delays, bus pickups and school start times will occur two hours later than regular. Morning LCTI students in need of transportation should plan on taking district transportation to school and report to the auditorium until their afternoon classes begin. Students who have their own transportation should arrive at school no later than 11:35 a.m. for their afternoon classes.
If schools and buildings are closed, there will be no instruction. Students are not expected to complete work.
The school day may need to be made up; however, if a flexible instruction day is assigned, work is expected to be completed. A flexible instructional day will be scheduled, at the latest, the evening before the day.
