Bruce P. Wetherhold, 85, of Emmaus, died Jan. 1, 2023, in Lehigh Valley Inpatient Hospice. Born in Walberts, he was the son of the late Earl and Elsie (Klipple) Wetherhold.
He honorably served his country in the Air Force during Vietnam and later served in the Navy Reserves.
He worked as an electrician for Bethlehem Steel, retiring in 1997.
He had a love of animals, including the many four-legged additions to the family that his daughters brought home with no prior notice. He greatly enjoyed gardening, travel, history, nature and would do anything for his girls. He took pride in the black raspberry patch that he lovingly groomed for his family and served on the bicentennial committee in 1976.
The absence of his presence will be difficult to navigate, but the many lessons he taught his girls will endure.
He is survived by daughters, Donna and her husband, Daniel Stoeckel, of Allentown and Rosemary and her companion, Terence Schimmel, of Macungie; granddaughter, Jillian; the mother of his daughters, Geraldine (Brancadora); brothers, Dale, of Zionsville and Wallace, of San Diego, Calif. He was predeceased by siblings, Douglas, Doris, Saraellen, E. Carlton, Laird and Harry.
Contributions may be made to Last Chance Ranch, 9 Beck Road, Quakertown, 18951.
Arrangements were made by the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus.
