HEIDELBERG TOWNSHIP: Heidelberg Union Church youth group to meet Jan. 9

Keep the faith! All youth in grades six to 12 are encouraged to come out and join Heidelberg Union Church’s Youth Group.
This exciting teen group will meet from 6:30-8 p.m. every second and fourth Monday of the month in fellowship hall.
The next meeting is scheduled for Jan. 9.
Dinner is provided as well as games, activities and extra outings.

Afternoon escape! Heidelberg Association for Retired Persons, better known as H.A.R.P., will meet 11 a.m. Jan. 10 in fellowship hall at Heidelberg Union Church.
Bring a covered dish to share, along with your favorite board or card game to play, and enjoy an afternoon of fun.
Remember you do not need to be a Heidelberg Church member to attend. All retirees are welcome.

The choice is yours! Germansville Fire Company is having a January soup sale fundraiser. A portion of the proceeds benefit the New Tripoli Fire Company.
Choose from Amish chicken corn chowder or Halupki (stuffed cabbage). Soup is sold by the quart and is take out and cash only.
Orders are due Jan. 14 by calling Chad Miller at 484-201-8814 or emailing him at unlv1988@aol.com.
Pick up 9-11 a.m. on Jan. 21 at the fire company.

Souper Bowl of caring! Heidelberg Union Church is collecting cans of soup.
The soup will be distributed to the Northern Lehigh Food Bank and Christ’s Church at Lowhill Food Pantry.
Donations of any kind of soup may be dropped off at the church on or before Feb. 12.

Well worth it! Membership dues for the Goodwill Fire Company, Germansville, are now payable.
As with your dues, additional donations of any amount toward the general fund may be sent to Goodwill Fire Company, P.O. Box 69, Germansville, PA 18053.
Any resident who has not received a membership form by mail, should call the fire company at 610-767-7757 and leave name and phone number. Someone will get back to you.
Residents who are interested in purchasing reflective house or mailbox numbers from the fire company should call Jay Scheffler at 484-239-5020.
These numbers are big and easy to read and help emergency crews find your home quickly.
A bracket to hang the numbers is also available to purchase.
